"Book arts" / "artists’ books" er et spændende område, som har bred kulturel interesse, og som spænder fra håndindbundne bøger, medier som grafik, fotografi, illustration og digtning til skulpturelle bogobjekter.
På Limfjordscentret vil vi gerne give plads til denne genre, som er i stærk udvikling i andre lande og som
nu holder sit indtog i Danmark.

Book Arts Center vil:

  • Udvikle et aktivt book arts netværk som forbinder Doverodde i Nord Jylland til resten af Danmark og Norden
  • Opbygge et videncenter med ”læsehjørne”
  • Opbygge en samling af bogværker til permanent udstilling
  • Tilbyde inspirations dage indenfor for bogens kunst og kunsthåndværk
   The center is a beautiful meeting place for book artists in the old restored merchants' warehouse in Doverodde by the Limfjord, in North Jutland. Our festival is a meeting place for both participants and visitors. Amid the beautiful countryside you can experience book arts both formally - exhibition and talks - and informally - stands, workshops and book café.

"Book arts" /"artists’ books" is an exciting area with broad cultural interest and one that stretches from handbound books, through media such as graphics, photography, illustration, writing, to sculptural book-objects. At the Limfjordscenter we want to give space to this developing genre.

Book Arts Center will:

  • develop an active book arts network linking Doverodde in Northern Jutland, the rest of Denmark and Nordic countries  
  • establish an reference section with reading corner
  • build up a collection of bookworks for permanent exhibition
  • offer inspiration-days within the arts and crafts of
    the book
